Volunteer Opportunities
SARC relies heavily on volunteers. Following are a variety of ways you can help.
Advocates: SARC has two types of volunteer advocates 1.) Crisis Line Advocates, and 2.) Hospital Advocates. Crisis Line Advocates man our 24-hour crisis line from their homes. They provide crisis intervention, support and advocacy. Hospital advocates respond to rape calls at local hospitals. All advocates must complete 34 hours of state certified training and maintain 12 hours of on-going training on an annual basis. The 34 hour advocate training is offered by SARC twice per year.
Please contact Rosanna Herrera at (509) 374-5391 or rherrera@supportadvocacyresourcecenter.com for more information.
